Tour de France Climbs

The French Alps are home to the most famous Tour de France climbs and our packages will take in the finest of them all. Each trip can be adapted to the groups’ requirements, we take into account fitness, the weather conditions etc to ensure that you get the maximum enjoyment.
From Geneva airport we transfer you to our True Alpine village, a short drive from the boutique ski resort of Megeve. We are situated at the foot of the ‘Col des Saisies’ and ‘Col des Aravis’ climbs which is where you will be based for the duration of your stay. This is the region where France meets Switzerland and Italy and the scenery is some of the most breathtaking in Europe. From here we will take in some local rides before tackling the mighty passes of the Savoie region such as the ‘Forclaz’, ‘Colombiere’, ‘Telegraph’ and ‘Galibier’. All of these passes are included in the itinerary and you’ll soon discover that each has its own appeal and each offers its own unique set of challenges. Of course, no True Alpine cycle tour would be complete without a pilgrimage to the great ‘Alpe d’Huez’. This tour has 21 numbered hairpins, is 14 kilometres in total and has an average gradient of 8.3%. This is a must for those who love to climb and marks a very fitting end to our journey around the legendary ‘Cols of The Tour’.

Our True Alpine chalet is located and operates from this enviable location at the foot the Col des Aravis and the Col des Saisies. These have been used 39 times on the Tour de France and are part of the famous Route de Grand Alps. We have direct access to some of the best Col riding in the French Alps.

Mountain Biking in the Espace Diamant

Mountain biking can sound a little extreme so we like to call it TRUE ALPINE CYCLING.  It can be as easy or as hard as you like.  The area is not just reserved for the expert cyclist.  We can take you to beautiful locations with easy access to mountain top and lakeside trails.  You may just be looking for a leisurely cycle or you might be looking for that fast descent to the bottom of the mountain.  The choice will always be yours... 

You will stay at our beautiful Chalet in the Val D’arly valley which sits at the foot of Mont Blanc in the French Alps.  We are based in the traditional, picture postcard village of Saint Nicholas La Chapelle.  The Chalet and the holidays’ are luxurious, excellent value and operate on sustainable principles. The riding is superb.

True Alpine cycling holidays include, qualified guiding over terrifically varied terrain, full Land Rover support, beautiful en-suite accommmodation with excellent food and wine.  Each group can be a maximum of eight riders plus guide and Land Rover support.  Being centre-based you can unpack, settle in and relax for the duration of your holiday.  If you feel like a day off from the bike, you can take it easy at the chalet or do something different.
